Understand real spoken French
you know, the kind your textbook forgot to mention 😉

Bonjour, I'm Valentin.

I'm hand-crafting an online programme to help people finally understand real spoken French, without subtitles.
Because, let’s face it, real life doesn't come with subtitles, and real people don't speak like Pierre, the guy in textbook illustrations (nor do they speak like most French teachers, for that matter). Désolé, Pierre.
Here's the name of the programme:

It's an ambitious goal - and with the right approach, it's absolutely achievable. This program is designed for people who are ready to put in meaningful practice to achieve real results. Together, we'll build your understanding step by step, until you can follow any conversation with confidence.
Who's it for?
I'm designing it for English speakers planning their French retirement — and those already embracing life in France.
Note: I sometimes hear people worry that they're 'too old' to learn French - but time and again, my students prove that it's never too late to master a new language. Over my four years of teaching, I've helped many people at this stage of life become confident French speakers.
What level?
Plot twist: it doesn't matter!
Maybe you're the type who can read Proust with ease... but when actual French people speak, it feels like an overwhelming waterfall of foreign sounds.
Or perhaps your current level of French is best summed up by 'Oui oui bonjour baguette' (hey, we all start somewhere).
Here's the beautiful part: this programme works for every level. Advanced learners will zip through the early stages (picking up transformative insights along the way) until they hit their ‘Challenge Sweet Spot’, while beginners will skip the dusty textbook French and jump straight into understanding real conversations. No time wasted on phrases that haven't been used since Napoleon was around.
Voilà !
Psst! Know someone who's tired of nodding and smiling through French conversations? Do a good deed, send them this video: Why Spoken French Is So Hard To Understand.
Merci for your interest in my language.
À bientôt!
Valentin
